About our Program
Raising puppies the right way!
We are responsible & ethical breeders of mini, micro mini, & petite golden doodles based in Jackson county, KY. Our parent dogs are all fully health tested and have wonderful temperaments. Puppies are raised using BAB's curriculum & ENS. This helps them develop into intelligent, trainable puppies suitable for a forever family pet! We strive to breed the best puppies we can, educate new owners to the best of our ability and ensure these precious babies get the love, care and attention they deserve!
We always breed with confidence and intention! Prior to breeding, our main focus is always health, temperament and structure! Parent dogs will always complement each other with every pairing that we do, always aiming to improve the overall quality of the breed. We do extensive health testing on our breeding dogs to ensure we are producing the healthiest puppies possible so that they can live a happy, healthy life. Parents must pass extensive health screenings (genetics and orthopedic imaging) to ensure that only desirable traits & the healthiest puppies are produced in our program.
WHAT IS A BAB/EMPOWERED BREEDER?
Empowered breeding is a term that is used to describe a method of breeding dogs that emphasizes the importance of the physical and mental health of the animals. This approach to breeding focuses on ensuring that the dogs used for breeding are in good health and have the necessary genetic traits and characteristics to produce offspring that are also healthy and well-adjusted.
In empowered breeding, breeders carefully select the dogs they use for breeding based on various factors such as their genetic history, physical health, and temperament. They may also use genetic testing and other tools to help ensure that the dogs they breed are free from genetic conditions and diseases that can be passed down to their offspring.
The goal of empowered breeding is to produce dogs that are healthy, well-adjusted, and able to thrive in a variety of environments. It is a proactive approach to breeding that aims to reduce the occurrence of inherited health problems and improve the overall health and well-being of the breed.
WHAT IS ENS (EARLY NEUROLOGICAL STIMULATION) FOR PUPPIES?
Early Neurological Stimulation was first developed by the US Military to improve the performance of future military dogs. The program created by the US Military was called “Bio Sensor” and it’s often referred to as the “Super Dog” Program. Today, it’s also known as Early Neurological Stimulation and many breeders utilize this method when rearing puppies.
Early neurological stimulation is a series of exercises that are designed to stimulate the neurological system of puppies during a critical period of their development, typically between the ages of 3 and 16 days. These exercises are believed to have a number of benefits, including enhancing the puppy's physical and mental development, improving their immune system function, and increasing their ability to cope with stress.
The specific exercises used in early neurological stimulation involve gently handling and manipulating the puppy's body in various ways, such as holding them in different positions, lightly rubbing their paws and tail, and lightly stroking their coat. These exercises are typically performed once a day for a total of 2-10 minutes, and are believed to have a cumulative effect on the puppy's development.
